Beauty Advert- CREED Royal Princess Oud

 

For my advert I chose to use the Royal Princess Oud fragrance from Creed as it is expensive and looks very premium, allowing me to make an advert that focuses on wealth and ideas of royalty. For the photo of the bottle I took the bottle outside and placed it down on a tree stump to give the impression of the bottle being placed on a piece of wood. With the bottle I included a couple of fake pink flowers, pink is a colour of feminine and peaceful connotations. The flowers create a sense of natural beauty and provide colour to stand out to consumers. The background I used is a photo I took in St Edmund's Church in Southwold, I used this photo because to me it showed architectural beauty and sophistication similar to that of castles and palaces that may be associated with the fairytale princess, linking to the name of the fragrance. I adjusted the saturation level along with other various adjustments to contrast and brightness to make the background image pop and appear more colourful than the raw image to be more visually appealing and to better match the bright red colour of the bottle. I blurred the background to create depth in the photo and to shift the focus to the product in the foreground. To the image in the foreground I added a soft glow around the edge to mimic the glow of the sunlight shining through the grand windows of the church and added a shadow underneath the product to appear as though it were interacting with the scene. The wood texture underneath the product is meant to share a similarity to the pews in a church. The Creed logo is shown large in the top middle of the frame with a subtle drop shadow to create depth, the size makes it easy to recognise the brand; as it is a well known brand this will appeal to people. The name of the fragrance is small and in a fancy font to the right of the product with a drop shadow. Overall, I wanted to achieve a luxurious and wealthy vibe to make consumers feel that the price is worth it to feel rich and royal.
